Top Printers for the USA Government

The USA Government Printing Office (GPO) awarded bids to more than 1800 printers in 2009 for $425Million (down from $421Million in 2008). Top five include
NPC (News Printing) $29.3Million
RRDonnelly $27.0Million
Monarch $19.5Million
Gateway Press $17.5Million
SourceLink $16Million

Last few years, Monarch had the lion's share - nice to see our Government is spreading the work ... finally.

The government always seems to pick the same vendors - bid after bid.... imagine that and I thought the bids were sealed

I guess the vendors that repeat simply have a better insight as to how to successfully bid. I also would hope our government does not simply go to the cheapest party offering the best price, but rather the best 'cost' - to include service and quality.
