Containerboard Market Remains Strong
Shipments for containerboard and boxes continue to improve with box shipments up 4.8% from 2009. Inventory levels are also showing modestly reduced levels at both the mill and the box plants. This marks the third straight month of improved demand, shipments, and operating rates. Suffice it to say, the price announcement in April for $60/ton is firmly implemented.

As the economy improves, consumers are beginning to buy stuff. Stuff goes into boxes - very encouraging. BTW. I read you blog daily.

The recovering economy enables people to buy more and more products and most of them are in boxes. I expect the paper and pulp industry to grow more by the end of the year since Christmas is almost here and people will go wrap gifts and buy tons of boxes and container boards.
Paper machines are used to produce paper boards, container boards, cut/trim papers efficiently. As the economy improves, people get more buying power thats why they are able to buy these products inside the boxes. Container board sales going up is a really good news! They must be using a very reliable paper machine.
